Autism Learn More

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental syndrome that affects about one in 100 people worldwide. It is characterized by early dysfunction in social interactions and the presence of the following restrictive behaviors:

50% Language delay

35% Intellectual disability

5-15% Epilepsy

Your resources will provide: DNA sequencing for rare transmitted undiscovered genes. Generations of inducible pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) from patients with these genetic mutations and differentiate them into neuronal cells. Identify potential therapeutics that may target the signaling molecules aberrantly regulated by the genetic mutations in an effort to reverse or slow the severity of Autism.
